“Metadata While Coffee Breaking” is the second album by Italian producer Pink B. The album reveals and consolidates the talent of this young artist. While his debut album, “A Close Connection With Your Soul” (recently re-released on EVES with a new master), was created to highlight melodic sounds and subtle rhythmic hints, this new work explores a more “complex” sound composed of multiple layers of percussion and melodic elements. The BPMs increase, and the rhythmic patterns fill the void left by the first album with old-school samples that tell a story, both in downtempo music and 90s electronic genres. Despite this shift in perspective, the focus remains on Pink B’s signature sound, characterized by purely emotional electronic music. Melodies emerge through rhythmic layers, creating a dialogue with the music itself.

The sound consists of extensive sampling and FM synthesis, with drum loops, original vocal samples, lo-fi textures, and samples. The main instruments used for the production of this album include: TB-303, SH-101, MC-303, EMU E5000, ISLA Instruments SP2400, DX100, DW8000.

“I feel that this album marks a new beginning in my journey, a step towards the future of my electronic music production and exploration of a classic sound. Today, we are constantly connected, traveling through data streams, and this album and its individual tracks serve as a pause from all that; this is the sound I imagine—something that excites and involves me—and that is what matters most to me when I produce music. Getting to know EVES was fundamental for the development of my sound and its future direction. Cesare, aka Useless Idea, played a key role in enhancing the sound design (through studio mixing and post-production), giving each track the sound I wanted to convey—something that was stifled in the demos and only hinted at in “A Close Connection With Your Soul” (my first work). This experience has allowed me to grow and understand the value of collaborating with people and entities that truly understand what you’re doing, transforming a studio project into something bigger.”
